Each bookmark uses two "soft" magnets for easy separation; one on the underside of the back flap and one behind the floral arrangement on the front side but are strong enough to hold your place even with the book being tipped upside down. A hinge has been created connecting the back flap and front side by seven durable strands. When both sections are laid out it stretches just over 6-1/4 inches long with the front section being 4-1/4 of those inches. The width is approximately 1-1/2 inches.
